At MnMCutesy, our journey has been guided by a simple mission: to encourage healthy habits through play, imagination, and creativity. Being part of the NE Awards 2024 was more than an exciting milestone; it reminded me how far I had come and renewed our determination to keep going.
Why I Took the Leap
I entered the SkillUp category at the NE Awards during my time on the Customer Ready Level 2 course with FIRST. For someone like me, an introvert and a new entrepreneur, public speaking felt daunting. Every week, we had to pitch in front of others, and I kept telling myself: I can do this. I recorded myself, watched it back, and practised again and again.
This was not only about building a business, it was about pushing through fear and owning my story and showing up, because sharing the story behind our brand might just inspire someone else to follow their dreams too.
A Moment of Gratitude
I couldn’t have reached this point without my wife, my biggest supporter for over 23 years. She’s been by my side through every late night, tough decision, and quiet win. Having her there meant everything.

What the Awards Meant to Us
This wasn’t just a chance to present our idea. It was an opportunity to be surrounded by other entrepreneurs, all working towards something meaningful. Hearing their feedback and feeling their enthusiasm for our vision was powerful. It reminded me that what we’re building matters, and that people can see it too.
Moving Forward with Purpose
Taking part in the NE Awards has reaffirmed our commitment to supporting parents and children in building healthy habits in a fun, pressure-free way. Through our toys, books, and resources, we want to support families in building positive habits around wellbeing, from fruit and veg to daily routines, water choices and balanced everyday habits.
We know there’s more to do, but we’re more determined than ever to keep growing, step by step.
